EHS student injured

   An Elizabethton High School student was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center Friday night after falling from a moving vehicle. The 16-year-old sustained serious injuries to the head.
   Witnesses stated the youth was sitting on the trunk of a car with another teenager when she fell and hit her head on the pavement in the school's parking lot. EPD Officer Richard Haney stated that the student had blood near her ears. She was listed in serious condition at the MedCenter.
   According to the EPD, the vehicle was traveling at 10 mph. It was driven by another 16-year-old female.
   The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m., prior the to school's homecoming football game against Sullivan East High School. The youths' names have not been released.
