Inmate escapes Sullivan County Jail

From Staff Reports

During a routine headcount, Sullivan County Jail officials on Wednesday around 5 p.m. discovered that an inmate who was part of a work release program was missing.
Gary Wilson Coulter, 26, 103 Twin Hills Rd., Bristol, Tenn., failed to return to the jail after his duties on a work release program at C&A Lawn Service. Coulter had been released on Sept. 13 to fulfill his obligations as part of the program at the correctional facility.
He was serving a 45-day sentence on a second DUI charge. A warrant has been issued for his arrest charging him with escape.
Police believe Coulter is in the company of family members in North Carolina. He is not considered dangerous, but anyone with information is encouraged to contact authorities.
