Sen. Crowe plans workday series

From Staff Reports

Sen. Rusty Crowe announced Thursday that he will be scheduling a series of days each month set aside to work with members of the community at their place of employment. He will begin by working with the street sanitation division of the Public Works Department on Sept. 9.
"Working closely with the people that I serve and understanding what they go through each day will keep me well grounded as I serve the people in my district in the Tennessee Senate. I don't ever want to forget who sent me to Nashville and why I am there," Crowe said.
Crowe will help Elizabethton employees pick up garbage and clean city streets during the series, which he said will give him a first-hand look at the wide variety of work being done in communities.
Crowe will meet the sanitation crew at 7 a.m. at the Elizabethton City Garage.
