Planning commission grants final
approval to two subdivision requests
From staff reports
The Carter County Planning Commission voted to
grant final approval to two subdivision proposals brought
before the commission at Tuesday's meeting.
The commission approved the Harold L. Grindstaff
subdivision on Charity Hill Road. Zoned as residential, the
proposal divided the 3.29 acre subdivision into five lots.
The second subdivision was submitted as the Ronald
Lacy subdivision of property off Toll Branch Road in the county's
west side. That subdivision divided the agriculture-zoned
30.425 acre property into three lots.
County residents cited by the county for zoning
violations pertaining to private laws governing auto junkyard
and mobile home park are scheduled to reappear in General
Sessions Court today.
The county commission voted in June to initiate
legal action against several county residents cited for non-compliance
in county zoning codes.
Two suits filed by the county were dismissed
by the court last month.
