Milligan announces new director of student success

  Traci Smith has been named director of student success at Milligan College.
  As director of student success, Smith will manage the mentoring and tutoring programs at Milligan, as well as provide career counseling services for students through the Center for Calling and Career Exploration.
  Smith is a graduate of Milligan. She completed a master's degree in theological studies at Duke University Divinity School. While at Duke, she served as coordinator of continuing education programs at the Divinity School. Most recently, Smith served Milligan College as assistant registrar and director of testing.
  Smith is a member of Hopwood Christian Church and is involved in the worship and college ministries.
  Leslie Glover, former director of student success, recently concluded her service to Milligan. She and her family are relocating to Georgia. Under Glover's guidance beginning in 2001, Milligan's retention rates improved dramatically with a record 83 percent freshmen retention rate between the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 academic years.
