Star publisher dead after collapse

Elizabethton Star publisher Charles I. Robinson died shortly after midnight Wednesday in the intensive care unit of the Johnson City Medical Center after collapsing from an apparent heart attack Tuesday afternoon.
   Robinson collapsed along U.S. Highway 19E while jogging with co-workers shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday. Carter County Rescue Squad paramedics treated Robinson at the scene and transported him to Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Family, friends and co-workers gathered at the hospital Tuesday evening upon hearing the news.
   Wings Air Rescue later airlifted Robinson to Johnson City Medical Center.
   The son of Ann and Frank Robinson, Charles Robinson became publisher of the Star in October 1980. He is survived by his wife Angela Robinson and his three children, Jessica, Jeremy and Joshua.
