From Staff Reports

Washington County Sheriff's Department officers on Wednesday captured an inmate who walked away from a Northeast State Correctional Complex work crew.
According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, officers received a call that a man was trying to access some vehicles on Frog Level Road in Gray. He was seen wearing what looked like prison clothes.
The man, identified as Richard Johnson, had just walked off from a work crew that was working on Interstate 26. Authorities located Johnson hiding on Frog Level Road and arrested him 12 minutes after they were notified that he had escaped.
Johnson has been charged with two counts of criminal trespassing and will be charged with escape by prison officials.
He was serving a sentence at NSCC for robbery from Shelby County.
A bond has been set for $2,000 and an arraignment is scheduled today at 1:30 p.m. in Sessions Court in Johnson City.
