Hicks seeks re-election for constable in 6th District

Richard Hicks has announced his candidacy for re-election as constable in the 6th District.
   Hicks attended Hampton High School and has lived his entire life in the Hampton area. He served in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam veteran.
   Hicks said he is a lifetime member of the Carter County Rescue Squad, serving 16 years as an active member and continues to assist the squad as necessary.
   Hicks said the state requires all constables to attend school once a year to be post certified and he has attended classes the past eight years.
   He said he hopes the district will give him the privilege to serve as constable for the next four years and the vote would be greatly appreciated.
   Hicks has one daughter, one son-in-law and two grandsons.
