Two injured in Sycamore Street wreck

   A Butler woman was injured in a two-car collision on South Sycamore Street shortly after 2 p.m. Friday.
   According to Elizabethton Police Department, the accident occurred when a Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old female pulled out of Mapes Drive into the path of a Ford pickup truck traveling north on Sycamore Street.
   A passenger in the truck, Claudette Campbell, 60, of Butler was transported to Sycamore Shoals Hospital by the Carter County EMS with a leg injury, according to police.
   Her husband, Jimmy Campbell, 61, of Butler who was driving the truck was treated at the scene with a minor injury. The couple's 11-year-old granddaughter was also a passenger in the truck, but did not sustain injuries, police said.
   Police did not release the juvenile's name. She was extricated from her vehicle by members of the Valley Forge-Hampton Volunteer Fire Department and transported to Sycamore Shoals Hospital by Carter County EMS. Police said her injuries were minor.
   Police said the juvenile female would be charged with failure to yield.
