Wreck in Hampton injures four

   A two-vechile accident that occurred on U.S. Highway 19E Thursday evening seriously injured three people, and another passenger suffered minor injuries, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Brad Proffitt.
   The accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 19E and Church Street in Hampton shortly after 5 p.m. Martin D. Bennett, 74, driver of a navy blue Suburau, was attempting to cross the highway from Church Street and drove into the path of Shelia S. Tolley, who was driving a burgandy Volvo, causing a "t-bone effect".
   Tolley and passenger Bobby J. Peeks were extricated from the vehicle by members of the Hampton Valley Forge Fire Department. Both were taken to the Johnson City Medical Center by the Carter County Rescue Squad.
   Martin D. Bennett, driver of the Suburau, was not injured, but a passenger in his vehicle, Ruby H. Bennett, was also sent to JCMC with injuries.
