UETHDA to begin commodity distribution

   The Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency will begin a Commodity Distribution June 25 in Elizabethton at the Elizabethton Recreation Center (Old National Guard Armory in Black Bottom) 300 Mill Street. Morris Baker, CSBC Program Director, said that all commodities will be served on a first come first served basis until all commodities are gone.
   All recipients must be a resident of Tennessee. Anyone sending another person to pick up his/her commodidites must obtain a permission slip at the Neighborhood Service Center prior to the distribution. The source and income must be listed on the permission slip.
   Distribution will begin each day at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 3:00 p.m. Please bring a paper bag or box to put your commodities in at the site. Misrepresentation of need, or sale or exchange of USDA commodities is prohibited and could result in a fine, imprisonment, or both.
   Another distribution site will be the Kingsport Civic Auditorium, Fort Henry Drive, Kingsport, Tenn.
