Blevins announces
for 2nd District commissioner

Mike Blevins, owner and operator of Blevins Auto
Enterprise in Roan Mountain, is announcing his candidacy for
2nd District commissioner.
Blevins is a lifetime resident of Carter County
and a 1965 graduate of Cloudland High School. He attended
East Tennessee State University and has operated his own business
for more than 30 years.
Blevins said he looks forward to working hard
with a new county executive and fellow commissioners to better
serve the community.
As a commissioner, his priority would be to increase
industry in Carter County in order to provide jobs.
"I plan to continue to support and upgrade our
schools," he said. As an executive board member of the Roan
Mountain Recreation Foundation, Blevins pledges to continue
to work diligently to provide a safe recreational facility
for the families of Roan Mountain.
"I would truly appreciate your support and vote
on Aug. 1. My door will always be open for questions and suggestions,"
he said.
