EHS Chorus successful in state competition; concert today

From Staff Reports

The Elizabethton High School Chorus and the EHS Women's Ensemble, under the direction of Deborah Gouge, competed in the ACDA State Choral Festival last Friday.
The choirs competed with other groups from throughout Tennessee as a result of receiving superior ratings at regional competition. The Women's Ensemble received its third "superior" rating in three years, setting a school record.
The EHS Chorus received an "excellent plus" rating, also setting a new school benchmark for a high score.
These groups, along with the Men's Ensemble, Women's Chorale, and Senior Chorus, will present a spring concert today, May 16, at 2:30 p.m. in the EHS Gym. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
