WBEJ names Mother's Day contest winner

   Lucille Powell of Elizabethton was selected as the winner of the WBEJ Mother's Day contest on Friday.
   Participants were asked to send a letter describing their mother to WBEJ and why she deserved to win. The winning letter was written by Linda Garland.
   Powell wins a variety of prizes including dinner at the Olive Garden restaurant in Johnson City, roses from Felty-Roland Florist, a gift certificate from So Happy Crafts, a Clinique makeover at Peebles and a ring from the Jeweler's Bench.
   She also won dinner at the Maze Cafe, a gift certificate from Yates Remnant Shop, a bracelet from the C.H. Stanley Diamond Brokers in Johnson City and a gift basket from Cynthia's Gift Shop in Unicoi.
   Garland's letter will be read on-air by WBEJ hosts during the Mother's Day weekend.
