J.C. juvenile arrested on drug, theft charges

   A 16-year-old juvenile male was arrested Monday afternoon on drug and theft charges, according to the Johnson City Police Department.
   According to a press release, officers responded to 538 Lee Circle, Johnson City, around noon in reference to a problem with a juvenile male. After becoming aggressive with police, the juvenile confessed that he had stolen some of his father's medication and sold it to buy marijuana.
   The father of the juvenile stated that his son had stolen 31 of his hydrocodone tablets and 13 rolls of quarters.
   The juvenile was arrested and charged with possession of Schedule III drugs for resale, theft of property less than $500, and truancy. He was left in the custody of his grandmother and is scheduled to appear in Johnson City Juvenile Court on Friday.
