Peters named First Utility commissioner

   The First Utility District of Carter County held its election Saturday to vote for a new commissioner. Norman Peters, of Peters Hollow in the Stoney Creek community, was elected, beating out Phillip Sparks of Infinity Drive in Stoney Creek. First Utility customers elected Peters by a vote of 66-35.
   Peters, who will serve a four-year term, replaces Robert Lee Goodwin, who did not seek re-election. Goodwin has served as commissioner for approximately 11 years.
