Johnson City man arrested for aggravated assault

   Johnson City Police Department officers on Saturday arrested a Johnson City man for hitting another man in the head with a stick.
   Charles Scott, 57, 300 Lamont Street, was charged with aggravated assault after JCPD Officer Paula Norris received a report of a fight at Watauga and Lamont Streets.
   Upon arrival, Norris spoke with witnesses who stated that both of the men had been arguing in the victim's front yard when Mr. Scott took a stick and hit the other man in the head with it.
   Mr. Scott is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond. An arraignment has been scheduled for this afternoon in Washington County General Sessions Court.
