TVA role in water management to be discussed

   Tennessee Valley Authority's current role in water quantity and water supply management will be discussed during a two-day meeting May 8-9 at TVA's headquarters in Knoxville.
   The Regional Resource Stewardship Council, which was created to advise TVA on the management of natural resources in the Tennessee Valley, will meet from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in TVA's West Tower Auditorium.
   An overview of TVA's current role, a national perspective on the topic, as well as regional, state and local viewpoints on TVA's future role are on the agenda.
   Council meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period, which is set for 10 a.m.-noon Friday.
   Anyone wishing to make comments at the meeting should register at the door. Speakers are asked to limit their remarks to no more than five minutes. Up to 1-1/2 hours will be allotted for public comments with participation available on a first-come, first-served basis. Hand-out materials should be limited to one page.
