Pizza driver robbed

From Staff Reports

A man making a delivery for Papa John's Pizza early Wednesday night reported to authorities that he was attacked by four individuals who then stole the pizza.
According to reports, the driver, who was identified as David Snipes, was making a delivery on Church Street when he saw some individuals in the parking lot of the old Douglas School. "He thought they were the ones wanting the pizza so he stopped," Elizabethton Police Department PTL Michael Sproviero states in his report.
After Snipes stopped, four subjects approached him. "A black male hit him four times while a white male went around to the passenger side of the vehicle," the report states. "The white male then opened the door and took the pizza."
The subjects then fled the area, possibly in a red Pontiac Firebird, according to the report.
