Cash and property reported stolen
from Max Jett Road residence

The Carter County Sheriff's Department is investigating
a reported home burglary at a Max Jett Road residence Sunday
evening that resulted in the theft of several thousands of
dollars in cash and property.
Harry Reagan told CCSD Deputy Eric Buck that
he and his family left their 144 Max Jett Rd. residence to
go to church at 6:30 p.m. Sunday night. When they returned
home around 10 p.m., Reagan reported finding the back door
of the residence open and the home in disarray.
Items reported stolen included a quantity of
cash, jewelry, several firearms, a laptop computer, a DVD
player and an MP3 player. Value of the property taken was
approximately $24,000 according to the police report.
Buck reported the perpetrator(s) had entered
the residence by breaking out a window. An investigation is
ongoing.
