Man arrested after runaway found naked in his home

From Staff Reports

A 35-year-old man was arrested early Thursday morning after a female juvenile runaway was found in his residence.
Andrew Jackson Heaton, 35, 128 Spring Dr., was arrested by Carter County Sheriff's Department Deputy Ivan Sluder and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was also served with an outstanding capias out of General Sessions Court charging him with failure to appear in court.
According to police, the Sheriff's Department had been notified that a 15-year-old white female was staying with a 35-year-old male, later identified as Heaton, at his residence in the Central Community. "(The) complainant was concerned about the matter and asked the department to make sure all was OK," Sluder said in his report.
When officers arrived at Heaton's residence on Spring Drive, officers spoke with him about the complainants' statement, and Heaton said there was no one else in the residence with him and gave officers permission to look.
During the search of the home, officers located the female runaway, who was naked, inside the home. According to reports, alcohol and drug paraphernalia were also found inside the residence.
Heaton is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on April 5.
