Two juveniles charged with possession of weapons

   Two juveniles were arrested at Fairmont Elementary School, 1405 Lester Harris Road, Johnson City, on Tuesday morning and charged with possession of a weapon on school property, according to Johnson City Police Department officials.
   Officers were alerted that two students, ages 8 and 11, were in possession of knives at the school bus stop and on the school bus. According to a police report, one of the juveniles showed a knife to other students on the bus and threatened harm if they told anyone.
   After an investigation, police charged the 8-year-old with aggravated assault and charged both juveniles with possession of a weapon on school property.
   The juveniles were issued a citation and released into the custody of their parents. A preliminary hearing date is set for Friday, April 25 at 4 p.m. in Juvenile Court.
