ARM reaches out to 237 people in
March

Assistance and Resource Ministries, Inc. (ARM)
reached out to 237 people in March, according to a report
of services rendered.
The total included 76 city clients and 160 county
clients.
ARM provided the following services: Clothing,
60 people; employment counseling, four people; linens, three
people; baby food and supplies, four people; food, 120 people;
electric bills, six families; rent, four families; rent deposits,
two families; toiletries, 120 families; miscellaneous, 12
families (children's shoes); and referrals to other agencies,
23 families.
Two fund-raisers are scheduled at Pizza Inn.
The dates are Thursday, June 13, and Thursday, Oct. 10, from
5-9 p.m.
Volunteers are needed for about one hour every
other month to unload food from a truck.
The organization is looking into the possibility
of having a benefit gospel music concert.
Volunteers provided 110 hours of service to the
organization in March.
ARM's next board meeting will be held on May
9. The next advisory board meeting will be held June 25.
