Greene County Jail escapee may face charges

   GREENEVILLE -- Police here have been talking to the U.S. Attorney's office to decide if a 48-year-old man who escaped Greene County Jail officials while receiving treatment at a hospital on Sunday will be charged.
   Talmadge Cody escaped from Laughlin Hospital around 1:30 a.m. after Greene County jailers brought him there to receive consultation for chest pains. Cody allegedly attacked a hospital guard before escaping.
   Police found Cody in the floorboard of his son's vehicle at his home.
   Cody is charged with armed robbery after police said he held up a video store and a Mosheim bank in February.
   Charges are also pending against Cody's son, Marshall.
