Law enforcement agencies execute search warrant on local business

From Staff Reports

Officers from several area law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant on an Elizabethton business Monday afternoon, but details as to what or whom they were looking for are unavailable.
According to Ken Phillips, director of the First Judicial DTF (Drug Task Force), serving of the search warrant on D&S Automotive, located on Lover's Lane, came following a five to six month-long investigation.
"The Sheriff (Carter County Sheriff John Henson) called us and said that he'd had some complaints of some suspicious activity here and we started investigating," Phillips said.
Phillips and Henson are expected to release further information about the search and any possible charges connected with it today.
Investigators from the First Judicial Drug Task Force, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Drug Enforcement Administration were joined on the scene by members of the Elizabethton Police Department, the Carter County Sheriff's Department and the Washington County Sheriff's Department in searching the business.
