EHS registration schedule set

Ed Alexander, Principal of Elizabethton High School, has announced the schedule for registration of new students entering Elizabethton High School for the first time in the fall of 2002.
   Students will be registered during the months of April and May. T.A. Dugger students will receive registration materials at school on Thursday, April 18. Students from other schools will be registered during the month of May. Registration for all new students will take place in the counseling department of Elizabethton High School by appointments. Parents must accompany their child to the school for registration, which will take about 20 minutes.
   An orientation meeting for parents and students will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 22, in the Elizabethton High School Commons Area. Students from other schools may pick up a registration packet and schedule an appointment time during this orientation meeting. Also, during this meeting, counselors will discuss the graduation requirements, sequence of classes, and how to plan for the four years of high school.
   Students entering Elizabethton High School for the first time should bring the following items when they register:
   * Recommended placement for English, Science and Math from their current teacher(s)
   * A copy of the student's latest grade card
   * Copies of the latest Terra Nova scores
   * A completed registration packet
   * A copy of the latest IEP for students enrolled in special education programs
   * A copy of current transcript
   Students entering from non-Tennessee schools should also bring an immunization record that may be obtained from the Carter County Health Department.
   Schedules will be issued to in-coming freshmen during orientation in August 2002.
