Eddie Harris is one grateful fellow. Harris,
who underwent cancer surgery on December 19 at Sycamore Shoals
Hospital, is optimistic about his recovery. And, he has nothing
but praise for the people who cared for him during that time.
"We have one of the best facilities around here
when it comes to professionalism, the quality of care, and
the expertise of the people who work there," said Harris of
Sycamore Shoals Hospital. "I think it's important that people
in the community know that.
"I'd been hospitalized once before at Sycamore
Shoals, and I was treated well, but, this time, everything
was perfect. While I was in the Intensive Care Unit, I could
not have received better care. They were extremely overworked,
but, they were superb in their care and compassion," said
Harris.
"I am tickled to death with our hospital, its
staff and the doctors we have," he added.
Harris, who was able to come home Christmas Day,
also had nothing but praise for Dr. Scott Caudle and his office
staff. "They are superior and among the best," he said.
Among the people he also wished to thank were
those who have called, sent cards, and offered prayers in
his behalf. "It's unbelievable the support I have received.
Hopefully, things will turn out good, but, I really want people
in this community to know we have the best when it comes to
health care," he shared.
Harris, who is well-known in the community, is
a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, and has been active
in local youth baseball league play.
