New Year's baby in serious condition

From Staff Reports

Tiny Roger Jeremiah Miller, born shortly after midnight New Year's Day, is listed in serious condition at Johnson City Medical Center, according to hospital staff.
The six-pound, 18-inch-long boy was the first baby born in Carter County in 2002 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
Scott Williams, hospital director, said Thursday, "The baby's been transferred to Johnson City Medical Center ... it may even have been yesterday."
Williams said information concerning the infant's illness is confidential. "I can't disclose that."
The Star was unable to contact the child's mother, Candice Miller, who already had been discharged from the hospital. Roger Jeremiah is the son of Miller and Paul Jerimiah Zucowski.
