Bug Tussel Landscaping, 1377 Gap Creek Rd., has been serving local residents since 1990.
Bug Tussel Landscaping provides the following services: Landscaping, hydroseeding and erosion control, tree transplanting, wetland reclamation, and retaining walls and nursery stock.
A major goal for the company this year, according to owner Richard Burleson, is "building a new equipment, storage, and maintenance facility and expanding the nursery." The company, which has been operating in two small sheds, is in the process of constructing a 34' x 34' building. Burleson anticipates completing the project in early April.
Burleson had some good business news last year. "I had started a field-grown nursery, and it started producing," Burleson said. "The trees started being big enough to sell."
Burleson is president of Mountain Empire Landscaping Professionals Association. "We have more than 80 members in the association," Burleson commented. "There's probably 60 companies represented."
The firm received a third-place award from Turf , a national magazine, for Web site design in 1999.For more information, call 895-0252.
